Nicole DeSalle, M.F.A.

Writing Coordinator

Nicole DeSalle’s experience as an English as a second language instructor sparked her desire to contribute to educational research, particularly in determining the effectiveness of different teaching strategies. Nicole most recently worked as a content specialist for ACT, Inc., developing assessments for English Language Arts and coordinating the scoring of written assessments. She earned her master’s degree in creative writing from Texas State University. Since moving to Iowa City, she has been involved in community theater, which led to her current interest in playwriting. Her plays are produced locally and in festivals throughout the United States. She also loves to travel and tries to take a trip overseas each year.
